does the pole that mounts the Marine solar light have drain holes for the expected rain and sea that might splash in?

Dan,
The light is sealed to the mount extremely tight. The solar marine light also is sealed and waterproof.

Cap screws to attach light have been lengthened to accomodate the lock washers so the poles rate 5 stars now.
