Hello Lake Lite Company!
I am writing to tell you how much I love your products, specifically the Solar Dock Lites that mount on a pole. I am a commercial fisherman in Alaska, and operate a salmon fishery in a remote bay on Kodiak Island. Our camp is completely off grid, and we face west into the Shelikof Strait, between Kodiak Island and the Alaska mainland. I have 2 small vessels that are kept on-anchor in the ocean When stormy winds pound us, it is hard to stand on the wind-whipped beach in the dark (while avoiding bears) and visualize if my boats are still there. Also, proper navigation rules include that all boats on anchor have a white light alerting other vessels to it's presence. I do not want to drain the batteries in my boats and have tried several brands of solar lights. The marine environment can be harsh, and I have gone through several lights that did not last, including ones listed for marine use. Then-I found your site, ordered the Solar Dock Lites, attached them to the poles on my skiffs, and am thrilled!!
I am using the Dock lights (described for lakes?) as they are perfect for the aluminum poles we use in our skiffs. I purchased some for myself, and some for a neighbor camp who also loves them. I also ordered the Marine light, but the flat bottom mount does not fit anywhere on my skiff. It would probably work for others in my bay who have different designs, but the Dock light has worked great for me. I did mount the marine light on a post on my beach where it's visibility is wonderful for returning to the beach in the dark. I prefer the visibility of the Solar Dock Lites over your marine light out in the water, it seems to show better, perhaps because of the white housing? One of our tenders (large boats we deliver our fish to) commented that when he towed a skiff with your Dock light on it that it was really helpful to glance off the back deck and keep a visual on the boat to make sure all was good.
I will attach some photos of my skiffs in the water at dusk so you can see how I am using them. If no one has considered using these Dock lights for their small boats, maybe my comments can help expand a new sales direction. Perhaps others already use them this way, I have no idea. I brag about them when we have bay-wide gatherings on the fishing grounds, and have received many interested comments. The design and quality of these Dock lights are spectacular, even as listed for lake docks they are so moisture resistant that they work well in our marine environment here in Alaska. I will most likely come up with uses for some of your other products down the road. but wanted to say how much I LOVE your Dock lights.

I have some of your earlier post lights and they have worked well. They have however on some occasions admitted water. I was pleased to see that these newer lights now have potted electronics and a sealed battery compartment. In my opinion these are worthwhile improvements. You are to be applauded for continuing to improve your products. Thank you.

Lake Lite's Solar Dock Post Lites are the best dock lights I've ever used. For years, we have tried various other brands of solar lights to illuminate our 150+ foot dock, both for our use and for the navigational safety of the many evening and night pontoon boaters on our lake. The other brands we've tried were never very bright and they dimmed significantly after 3-4 hours of being on. Lake Lite's Solar Dock Post Lites glow brighter than any we've had before, and keep shining bright until morning light. Previously, we've had problems with the light fixtures getting grimy and a haven for spiders. The smooth design of Lake Lite's Solar Dock Post Lites allows the rain to wash its surface clean and there are no crevices for spiders to live in. The various sized adaptors that come with them allow for a seamless fit between the light and the pole. Several neighbors have commented on how nice they are, after which I thank them and tell them to get some for themselves, for their benefit, and those of us who tool around the lake in the evening and at night. I just purchased these a couple of weeks ago, so I cannot speak to the durability. However, I am very pleased with the amount of light they give off and the ease of installing them on my dock poles. So far so good. They charged up quickly and come on every day.

Ordered for the guide posts on my boat lift. I'm on salt water so I like that they are not metallic. They come with instructions that say bring them in for the winter, I'm ok with that also. The batteries they come with are cheap, one wouldn't charge, but they are just standard AA rechargeables and available anywhere. Aside from that they are perfect for me and only took a few minutes to install. They are a soft light that doesn't blind me at night. Many people have lights on their piers which are blinding, these are just right. They pretty much stay on all night as well. No complaints.

Have 6 of these for our dock going on 3 years now. They work as well as they are advertised. We live in Michigan and leave the dock in all year, as well as the lights. #1, you can swap out the LED's to change the color. We have two that are red and green to keep with the nautical theme, and the rest are blue. Come Christmas time, we change them to all red and green. #2, The batteries are easily replaceable, which I just did, and Batteries Plus sells them for $1.57 each........ pretty good deal. Nice product, and they are well worth the money.

Delivered quickly, easy to attach and fit the 2 3/8 pipe well. I like the idea of replacing the solar rechargeable batteries - and not throwing away solar lights every couple of years. smooth and don't fill up with bugs and spider webs. hope they are durable to justify the additional price tag.

My kids bought me 4 of these lites for Father's Day. Not only do they look great but the company stands behind their product. I was having problems with one of them coming on at dark. I contacted Lake Lite and they sent me the replacement parts promptly. These lites were easy to install and have adapters to fit several different size dock pipes. Highly recommended.
