Solar Panel Extension Wire

Extend or Replace Your Existing Solar Panel Wire

The Solar Panel Extension Wire is the simple way to extend the reach of your solar setup or replace a wire that has been worn, damaged, or compromised over time. Whether you nicked the cable while pulling a canopy, snagged it during a seasonal lift-out, or just need a few more feet to reach the battery box, this is the drop-in solution.

SAE Wiring Style

Designed for the SAE 2-pin connector standard.

SAE is an older connector style that has largely been replaced by newer solar formats like MC4 on most modern panels. Lake Lite’s legacy solar panel kits use SAE, so this Extension Wire is the right match for those systems. If your existing setup uses a different connector, this wire will not mate without an adapter.

When You Need One

Canopy Damage

Wires nicked or torn while pulling the canopy off the boat lift.

Seasonal Lift-Out

Cable snagged or pulled while moving the lift in or out of the water each season.

Wear and Tear

Original wire has aged, cracked, or lost insulation integrity over time.

Need More Reach

The panel and the battery are further apart than the original cable allows.

Extend the Reach of Your Setup

When the panel and the battery box live further apart than the original cable allows, the Extension Wire fills the gap. Add the length you need without rewiring the system or relocating components.

Drop-In Replacement for Damaged Wire

Solar panel wires take a beating. Canopy removals, seasonal lift-outs, sun, salt, and the occasional snag all add up. When the original cable gives out, the Extension Wire is a clean replacement with no splicing or rewiring required.

Built for Real Outdoor Conditions

Insulated to handle sun, rain, splash, and the daily grind of dock and lift environments. Built for the same conditions the rest of the solar setup is fighting through every day.

SAE Plug-and-Go Connection

SAE 2-pin connectors mate directly with the existing connectors on Lake Lite’s legacy solar panel kits. Connect, route, and you are back to charging. No tools, no soldering, no specialty fittings required. Note that SAE is an older standard, so if you are running a newer panel with MC4 or another modern connector, this wire will need an adapter to mate up.
